Process side (Seal chamber)

Description:

Circulation of the medium to be sealed from the sealing chamber through a flow control orifice to the low-pressure region of the pump (e.g. suction nozzle).

Common use:

• Standard operating mode for single-acting mechanical seals and double-acting mechanical seals with unpressurized buffer medium in vertical pump applications
• For clean media to be sealed
• For cooling the process-side (inner) mechanical seal
• For venting the seal chamber

Application example:

Sealing of water in vertical pumps with single-acting mechanical seals to ensure the required heat dissipation.
